Yes. In 2026 you can sit the DET at home if your room and internet meet Duolingo’s rules, or in Lingua’s secure exam room in Addis Ababa with high-speed internet and power backup.
Official fee $70 USD. Lingua Package 13,500 ETB includes 24-hour results (vs typical 48), exclusive DET preparation material, high-speed internet, laptop, secondary camera, pre-test setup support, and a secure exam room in Addis Ababa.
In 2026 Lingua covers consultation, 1:1 Duolingo English Test preparation (since 2022), help purchasing your official exam, and exam-room support on test day in Addis Ababa.
Lingua is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We support students with English proficiency test preparation, test purchase, and a proper testing environment — not just online tips.
Starting September 2026, students in Ethiopia can enter — Lingua enrollment is not required. Each month we review academic readiness, financial background, exam relevance, and study-abroad status; verify nationality and identity; then randomly select one eligible winner for a full DET, free testing room, and prep support.
